
The NSSA offers a number of courses, suitable for all abilities, from complete novice to advanced level and Instructor. All courses follow the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) syllabus and are taught to RYA standards by suitably qualified Instructors. Courses are open to members only. New members can download a membership form from the home page, existing members should use the renewal form sent out with the newsletter. Course booking forms will be sent out with the membership pack. Please send the course fee with the booking form.
Adult Beginner Course - RYA level 2 - Cost £175. No previous experience required. Basic introduction to Dinghy Sailing. By the end of the course students should be able to sail solo around a triangular course in a light breeze (Beaufort scale 2-3).

Spinnaker/Performance Sun 12th Sept, 26th Sept, 10rd Oct, 17th Oct 4 places
Adult Time Afloat Sat 24th July, Sun 15th Aug, Sat 2nd Oct
There is no additional cost for these days, but they are only open to adult members who have attended an NSSA course in the last two years.They provide the opportunity of individual coaching under the guidance of an Instructor. You may sign up for one or more days. Please specify on the booking form which day(s) you would like to attend and what you would like to gain from the coaching.
Winter Training - Structured training through the winter open to all adult members. Please note that winter temperatures require suitable clothing (wetsuit/drysuit). Sudden freezes can mean that these courses may be cancelled with little notice. All information on winter training can be found in the forum.
If you are planning to attend then you must reply to post in the forum. This is required to ensure we have the right number of Instructors.
